Once again it’s Shitbox Rally time and once gain I’m sending you this email because I want your money. Not a lot of it, but enough so that together we’ll help my team help the Cancer Council as we drive the 3600km from Canberra to Townsville via the Birdsville Track and the Simpson Desert.

Yes, it’s only about 53 sleeps to the start of this year’s Rally, the highlight of the global motorsport calendar, where more than 200 cars costing no more than $1000 travel on one of the roughest roads in the world.

You remember last year when the Weekend Australian Motoring Team drove our Falcon Ute from Perth to Darwin and did you all proud by finishing dead last. This year we hope to equal that feat and raise even more money for the Cancer Council.

How can you help?

I need to raise funds so I can look good in front of the other teams. I need your support.

üSponsor me for any amount and I will send you a personal update every day*.

üSponsor me for $500 or more and I’ll invite you to the exclusive Weekend Australian Motoring Team launch party. Not only do you get to helpAustralians with cancer but I’ll also give you free drinks and food – take you for a hot lap in the Falcon Ute – and take your photo with someone famous andthe Ute*.

To donate, simply go to my fundraising page right nowhttps://shitboxrally2015.everydayhero.com/…/weekend-austral…

Go on. Help the Cancer Council and make a difference!

And you’ll get more laughs out of my reports than anything else you’ll read this year!

You can find out more about the fantastic work that the Cancer Council do and how the SBR supports them at http://www.shitboxrally.com.au/

Thank you!

John Connolly

* This year we promise the video will work, most of the photos won’t be fuzzy and I won’t have a drink until I have filed my report for the day.
* Someone famous depends on who turns up on the night and whether they want their photo taken with you.
