Today’s (21/7/12) Weekend Australian carries an amazing piece of research that once and for all proves that the sound of a Ferrari 456 Italia attracts cows.
At great personal expense I and a number of other scientists went to a farm about 59 miles outside London in a hired Audi A4, a friend’s ‘ 456 Italia’, and ‘ another mate there in a vintage roller.
I tried the Audi first just sitting still revving it to near the limit. The cows about half a mile away did nothing. Then I drove the Audi up and down the road by the paddock. Nothing. Then I revved the roller nothing. Then I drove up the road….. .nothing. I revved the Fezza and the cows came running. The more I revved the quicker they ran….AND were so excited they started strange sexual cow activity. Then I drove it down the road and it was like the pied piper! A great moment in automotive research.
